WinStar promotes Wilson to Stallion Seasons Director

Kyle Wilson has been promoted to Stallion Seasons Director to oversee that department at WinStar Farm, and he has brought on Caroline Walsh to join the Nominations team.

“We are thrilled to be able to promote Kyle Wilson from within the WinStar family to head up our stallion-season sales, and excited about the opportunity to also bring in Caroline Walsh to join the team,” said Elliott Walden, WinStar President & CEO. “Kyle has experience and familiarity with our ever-evolving stallion business here a WinStar, and he’s a bright and ambitious young man who is well liked by our breeders and shareholders. I have a lot of confidence that he’ll continue to do great things for us in his new role, and I also have confidence that Caroline will bring a lot to the table in her new position.”

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Wilson was introduced to Thoroughbred horse racing at a young age by his grandfather. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and his experience in the industry includes working for Bradley Thoroughbreds and Three Chimneys Farm in stallion-season sales, prior to coming to WinStar.

“I am truly honored to receive this promotion. It’s a privilege to work with one of the industry’s strongest stallion rosters and tremendous client bases, both of which we are fortunate to have here at WinStar,” said Wilson. “These are particularly exciting times with so many established and exciting young stallions here, and now, the sire of the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years. I have developed great relationships with Kenny, Elliott, and the entire team, and we will strive to take WinStar to even higher levels.”

The stallion-season sales team under Wilson consists of long-time employee Sean Tugel and Walsh, who completed a six-week internship at WinStar through the Darley Flying Start program in the summer of 2014. Walsh joins the WinStar team full time after her graduation from Darley’s management and leadership program in early July.
