WinStar hires Belbeck and Bardin

WinStar Farm has announced the appointment of Brittany Belbeck to its Stallion Season Sales team and Ryan Bardin to its Assistant Yearling Managers team.

Belbeck and Bardin are a married couple, and they come to WinStar from industry positions in New York. Belbeck most recently served as farm manager at Sequel Stallions, and Bardin as assistant manager at Chestertown Farm.

“We are excited to have Brittany and Ryan join the WinStar team,” said Elliott Walden. “What I like the most about Brittany is her time in a strong regional market like New York, which included being a farm manager for Becky (Thomas) at Sequel. I love the fact she is used to getting her hands dirty. Ryan has also been in a quality program coming from Chester Broman’s farm.”

A graduate of Midway College with a B.S. in Equine Studies, Belbeck has been an assistant manager at Dell Ridge Farm, worked as a veterinary technician and ambulatory technician at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, and worked the 2015 Breeders’ Cup and Fall meet for announcer Curt Becker at Keeneland before moving to New York. There, she managed Sequel the last two breeding seasons, and the farm has maintained its position as a leading breeder and stallion operation in New York.

Belbeck said: “I’m excited to join this quality roster of men, women and Thoroughbreds. WinStar is an elite farm in the industry, with stallions overflowing in pedigree and history.”

Bardin worked for Stonebridge Farm in New York for 10 years, including five years as the yearling manager and assistant farm manager, before working for the Broman’s Chestertown Farm the last year and a half.

“I feel blessed for the opportunity I have been given to work for WinStar Farm, and I look forward to working with and preparing high-quality Thoroughbreds in the industry,” said Bardin.
