Michael With Us, bred by WinStar Farm and sired by Bluegrass Cat, was a maiden going into the 100,000 OBS Championship S. for colts and geldings, but the three-year-old came out a stakes winner after a half-length triumph in the 1 1/16-mile contest.
Michael With Us came from fifth after three-quarter of a mile, going three wide into the stretch to ultimately run down the leaders inside the final furlong.
Trained by Stephen L. DiMauro, the winner covered the distance on a fast track in 1:45 flat. Sold by Halcyon Hammock Farm, Agent, at the 2012 OBS March Sale, Michael With Us is now 1-2-2 in five starts and has earned $80,320 for his owner Kenwood Racing LLC.
