WinStar adds to stallions, Stablemates teams

WinStar Farm announced Monday two new additions to their stallion and WinStar Stablemates divisions, both with extensive international experience. Effective September 3rd 2012, Chance Timm will assume the role of Stallion Season Sales and Leanna Packard as StableMates Coordinator and Bloodstock Assistant.

Chance Timm, the son of a jockey, is a graduate of the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program and Darley Flying Start Program. His early industry experience includes an internship with Vessels Stallion Farm, working on the starting gate at a race meet, and galloping and starting young horses. More recently, Timm gained international sales and bloodstock experience working for Tommy Eastham and Mark Toothaker as well as for John Fulton, who described him as “a complete horseman with a tremendous future in this industry.”

Gerry Duffy, WinStar’s Stallion Seasons Director, said, “As we grow our Stallion Roster, we want to provide the level of service our clients are accustomed to. Chance and Leanna come to us with energy, excitement and passion about this business and we look forward to having them on the team.”

Ohio native Packard, a lifelong rider, is a graduate of Ohio State University. She worked for Richland Hills Farm in Kentucky, focusing on stallion nominations, mare bookings, stallion books, and sale contracts. Packard gained her international experience working the 2012 sale season for Eliza Park Stud in Australia. Richland Hills’ Corey Johnson described Packard “as a hard worker, with great initiative and drive that would be an asset to any organization.”
