Alexandria parlayed her impressive maiden debut victory into a one-length score in the $75,000 Tah Dah S. July 10 at Belterra Park to up the 2-year-old daughter of Constitution to a perfect two-for-two lifetime.
Owned and bred by WinStar Farm and Blazing Meadows Farm, Alexandria is the second foal out of the Spring At Last mare Spring Water.
Heavily favored off her six-length debut, Alexandria battled the entire 5 1/2-furlong trip with Gonnabegood, surrendering the lead in mid-stretch before reclaiming the top spot to win by a length.
Constitution, the nation’s leading Second-Crop sire, now has four stakes winners in 2020, topped by Belmont S. (G1) winner Tiz the Law, whose next scheduled start is the Travers (G1) at Saratoga, his final prep for the Sept. 5 Kentkucky Derby (G1).
