Two winners already for Spring At Last

Grade 1 winner Spring At Last has already sired two winners from his first crop of two-year-olds to race, including the impressive filly Seaneen Girl who won handily by 5 ¾-lengths at first asking Friday afternoon at Woodbine.

Seaneen Girl settled off the early pace before putting in a professionally rallying on the turn and taking full control of the race straightening for home. The chestnut filly widened in mid-stretch before being geared down late. The final time for the 4 1/2-furlong heat on the Polytrack was :52.90.

Spring At Last’s first winner came in Mexico, when his two-year-old son Cartucho was victorious by 7 ¾-lengths in his debut. Earlier this week, Spring At Last sired the top two-year-old filly at the OBS June Sale, selling for a then-sale record $320,000, after breezing a bullet quarter mile in :20.80.

A Grade 1-winning millionaire and world-class miler on the racetrack, Spring At Last scored his biggest career wins in the Donn Handicap (G1) at Gulfstream and Godolphin Mile (G2) in Dubai. He retired to stud with earnings of $1,139,150.

Spring At Last is by Silver Deputy out of the top producer Winter’s Gone, by Dynaformer, and is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Sharp Lisa and multiple graded stakes winner Sharp Susan. Spring At Last is standing at WinStar for a fee of $7,500, stands and nurses.
