The 2-year-old Tourist filly is the ninth overall winner for her First-Crop sire, who has now produced winners on dirt, turf and synthetic surfaces.
Owen’s Tour Guide was several lengths off the pace after the first quarter mile, but circled horses four-wide around the turn to take command straightening for home. She held off the late charge of Using Coconuts to finish the 6 1/2-furlongs in 1:17.62 on the synthetic surface.
