Hadley made up a four-length deficit in the final furlong of a one-mile turf maiden Saturday at Woodbine to win by a length and become the fifth First-Crop winner for her sire.
In between horses and several lengths off the pace for most of the trip, Hadley swung to the middle of the course in midstretch and stormed past the leaders to win going away.
The bay 2-year-old is owned by her breeder CJ Thoroughbreds and trained by Mark Casse. Hadley’s stakes-placed dam Blondz Away has produced nine winners from 10 starters, including stakes winner Colonel Samsen.
