The results of Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July Sale in Kentucky included a pair of six-figure yearlings from the first crop of WinStar Farm’s multiple graded stakes-winning stallion Fed Biz.
Fed Biz’s top lot was a $170,000 colt purchased by Randy Bradshaw. Cataloged as hip No. 291, the colt was consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent.
The chestnut yearling is the first foal out of Illusional Sky. The daughter of Sky Mesa is a half-sister to multiple black-type winner Peak Maria’s Way and is from the same family as Overanalyze, who stands at WinStar and is currently the leading Freshman Sire of 2017.
Hip No. 145, consigned by Four Star Sales on behalf of Dixiana Farms, went to Lothenbach Stables for $130,000. The bay filly is out of the graded stakes-placed mare Toxis, who is to another black type horse in Ballado’s Thunder.
Fed Biz, who was a graded stakes winner both sprinting an routing, was bred to a total of 275 mares in his first two books. He stood this season at WinStar for $10,000 live foal.
