Super Comet zipped to a 4 3/4-length debut win in a seven-furlong maiden special weight contest June 2 at Churchill Downs, earning the coveted TDN Rising Star tag (VIDEO).
The latest of Super Saver’s eight Rising Stars, Super Comet joins the likes of Competitive Edge, Super Steed and Super Majesty.
Super Comet’s impressive stretch run came after the 3-year-old stalked in fourth, then swept to the lead with a four-wide move to win with authority. The final time on the fast track was 1:22.85.
Super Comet is owned by his breeder John Oxley.

Super Comet’s third dam is none other than MGISW and champion older mare Beautiful Pleasure (Maudlin).
