Among Speightster’s first 2-year-olds offered at auction Tuesday at the OBS March Sale was a colt that went for $200,000.
Steve Young, agent, was the winning bidder of hip No. 21, who was consigned by Eddie Woods, agent. The colt had worked a solid quarter-mile in :21 2/5 during the Under Tack Show.
Out of Done Smoking, the colt is a direct descendant of millionaire and Grade 1 winner Top Corsage.
Speightster was also responsible for at $170,000 colt on Tuesday. Hip No. 322 went to Mike Ryan, agent, from the Pick View LLC, agent, consigment.
The Kentucky-bred juvenile is out of the unraced Giant’s Causeway mare Poly One Flex, whose dam was a multiple stakes winner and granddam was two-time Grade 1 winner Queens Court Queen.
Speightster has an additional eight lots cataloged for Wednesday’s closing session of the sale.
