Do Slice won his second stakes in two weeks in Japan on Aug. 15, when the 5-year-old romped by six lengths going six furlongs at Morioka Race Track. The chestnut son of Speightstown, bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, LLC, has now won four stakes and earned $1,582,235 in his career. He is one of two first-crop millionaires, along with Grade 1 winner Haynesfield, sired by Speightstown.
Do Slice sold as a 2-year-old for $230,000 at the Fasig-Tipton February select sale to Hideyuki Mori, who trains the horse on behalf of Yoshio Oda.
Do Slice is out of the Saint Ballado mare Daisies and Nites, a three-time stakes winner of more than $265,000 in her career.
