HBOT—horses are treated at pressure with 100% oxygen to increase cellular metabolism which speeds healing and is detrimental to bacteria. Useful for a variety of conditions, including post-race recovery, treatment of infections, treatment post bleeding, treatment of wounds, treatment of injuries and an adjunct to regenerative therapies such as stem cell therapy.

Theraplate—concentrical vibrations speed healing and add analgesic effects particularly to soft tissue injury and tie ups, helps with hone healing for stress fracture injuries. Horses will fall asleep on the theraplate and you can see the relief in their eyes. The magnetic blanket and magnetic foot plate work well in conjunction with the theraplate to relieve muscle and foot inflammation.

An in-ground, indoor Aquatred allows horses to exercise and stretch their limbs without the concussive forces of weight in all types of weather. This is extremely useful for rehabilitation post joint surgery and post soft tissue injury as a way to control exercise without the bucking and jumping around and without loading the joints. A typical program involves 30 days Aquatred and then incorporating weight-bearing exercise under tack with individualized programs based on a horse’s specific needs. It also enables horses with certain arthritic conditions to develop fitness as an alternative to daily galloping.

RLT class 4 laser—our newest therapy. We are very excited about the responses we have seen on our horses and are excited to offer this as part of our rehabilitation package, which is useful for soft tissue regeneration. The healing effect that we have seen with tendon and suspensory injuries has been amazing—shins, splints, bone injuries and inflammation. Indicated for acute and chronic pain, inflammation, scar tissue and lameness, and incorporated into a post-surgical protocol, we expect to see improved reduction of inflammation at the surgery site. It is useful for a variety of joint inflammations, feet conditions, wounds, soft tissue injuries, including muscle, tendon and ligament, as well as beneficial in lowering the likelihood of injury reoccurrence. This service is new as of February 2016.

Cold salt water spa—horses stand in a cold water spa infused with minerals that allow the temperature of the water to be reduced to a temperature of 34 degrees. This is useful for all cases of inflammation and improves the benefit of all cases requiring cold water therapy. This works well in conjunction with the RLT laser by allowing cold therapy to be followed immediately by heat therapy.

Flexineb nebulizer and aeromask nebulizer—help infuse antibiotics and steroids deep in the lungs to treat various respiratory conditions. They hyperbaric chamber is also a great aid in treating respiratory conditions.
