Rebranded romps to CO Derby victory

Tiznow’s 3-year-old colt Rebranded turned the Colorado Derby into a one-horse race with a runaway 12 1/2-length score in the 1 1/16-mile contest at Arapahoe Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Kentucky bred sophomore assumed total command less than half-way through the contest, coasting home with ease to stop the timer in 1:45.12 over a surface rated “good” (VIDEO).

A winner of the Riley Allison Futurity, Rebranded is now 3-3-1 and has won $201,010. He is out of the stakes-winning mare Bayou Breeze, who is a half-sister to $1.8 million earner Lu Ravi.

Tiznow has six stakes winners in 2014 and is the nation’s fifth-ranked sire with $4.6 million in progeny earnings.
