Eclipse Thoroughbreds went to $300,000 for a filly by Congrats during Wednesday’s session of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training.
The chestnut filly, hip No. 505, was consigned by Price Thoroughbreds LLC, agent. The filly had worked an eighth-mile in a lively 10 1/5 seconds during the Under Tack Show.
Out of Grand Finesse, the filly is a sister to three winners, while Grand Finesse herself is a half-sister to stakes winners Kodema and Mistress S. The family also includes American Oaks (G1) winner Gozzip Girl.
Congrats’ sales results this year include the $1.7 million sales-topper at the OBS March 2-year-old sale, while his racing progeny have earned black type on three different continents.
