First-Crop sire Tourist tallied two new winners in the past two days, with Poca Mucha winning an maiden special weight at Indiana Downs on Oct. 29 and What Goes On Tour getting her first win the day before at Churchill Downs.
The WinStar stallion now has a total of seven First-Crop winners, including Indy Tourist, who subsequently placed in the $500,000 More Than Ready Juvenile S. at Kentucky Downs. WinStar recently announced Tourist’s 2021 fee at $5,000 S&N.
Poca Mucha, who races for her breeder Brownwood Farm, was a one-length winner in the one-mile affair over the sloppy going, closing from some four lengths off the pace in mid-stretch to get the win.
What Goes On Tour was a dominating 7 3/4-length winner going seven furlongs at Churchill, leading the entire trip and drawing away late for the easy win.
The bay filly is owned by Caraway Racing LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Cobra Farm and MRJ Thoroughbreds.
