Diamond Dust improved his record to 2-for-2 with a decisive victory in the $75,000 Hoover S. at Belterra Park on July 7 (VIDEO). The 2-year-old son of Paynter won by 4 1/2-lengths on Saturday; he had won his debut on June 3 over the same course.
Bred and owned by WinStar Farm and Blazing Meadows Farm, Diamond Dust is out of the Awesome Again mare Radiant Sky, whose dam River Sunset is a half-sister to the brilliant 2-year-old champion Arazi.
Paynter’s second crop has performed exceptionally in 2018, putting the WinStar stallion in the top three by winners, earnings and black type horses. He stood the 2018 season for $12,500 stands and nurses.
