Diamond Dust collected his third straight win and third lifetime stakes victory in Saturday’s $75,000 Howard B. Noonan S. at Mahoning Valley.
The 3-year-old son of Paynter has never been worse than second in seven lifetime starts, with five wins, and earnings of $238,100 for the owner/breeder tandem of WinStar Farm and Blazing Meadows Farm.
As he’s done in all of his outings, Diamond Dust was close to the pace, then exploded with a strong stretch kick to take the lead in the final sixteenth, winning the six-furlong contest by a widening 2 1/4-lengths.
A son of the Leroidesanimaux mare Radiant Sky, Diamond Dust is from the same family as the brilliant Arazi and top-class turf male Joyeux Danseur
