Acquainted got the best of her foes in her debut race on Thursday afternoon, rolling by 3 1/2-lengths in the one-mile maiden contest for 2-year-old fillies.
The bay daughter of Paynter is the 11th overall winner from the first crop of her sire. Paynter, who will stand the 2018 season for a fee of $12,500 stands and nurses, is in the top 10 on the 2017 Freshman Sire list by progeny earnings and stakes horses.
Acquainted is owned by Paul Pompa, Jr. and was bred in Kentucky by Richard Forbush and David Ingordo. The filly sold for $130,000 at this year’s OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.
