Renaisance Frolic scooted up the rail and outran Miago in the stretch to claim a nose victory in a one-mile Gulfstream Park maiden special weight on the turf on Aug. 12.
The bay colt is Paynter’s second maiden special weight winner in the past two weeks, joining the very impressive filly Dark Artist, who was a winner on the main track at Monmouth Park on Haskell Inv. day.
Owned by his breeder Stride Rite Racing Stable, Renaisance Frolic is the first foal out of Frolic’s Appeal, who is a half-sister to six-time graded stakes winner Smok’n Frolic.
