Overanalyze, the top Freshman Sire of 2017, got his eighth winner of the year on July 16 when Mauk’s Tuff battled to a neck victory in a six-furlong maiden special weight contest for 2-year-old fillies.
In the lead the entire way, Mauk’s Tuff held off a late-charging America’s Tale to secure the win in 1:11.36 on the fast main track (VIDEO).
The winner was bred by Pope and Marc McLean and Pope McLean, Jr. The bay filly sold for $115,000 at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training this April.
Overanalyze also got his first stakes horse this past Saturday when the 2-year-old colt Analyze the Odds placed in the $100,000 Rockville Centre S. at Belmont Park.
