Qui made short work of her foes in a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight on Aug. 18 at Mountaineer Park, rolling up the score in the stretch to win by 9 1/2-lengths.
The 2-year-old filly is Outwork’s fourth winner from his first crop. With all four of his winners coming in maiden specials, Outwork is currently third on the 2020 Freshman Sire list.
Qui was never seriously threatened at any point during Tuesday evening’s race, widening her margin throughout the race to win in hand.
The dark bay filly is owned by James Chapman and Stuart Tsujimoto and was bred in Kentucky by Woodford Thoroughbred. Her dam Unforgotten won or placed in 17 stakes and has produced six winners from seven starters, including the Grade 1-placed filly Silverpocketsfull.
