Outasite led start to finish in his maiden special weight win Jan. 23 at Oaklawn Park, drawing off late to win the six-furlong contest by 2 ¼-lengths.
The 3-year-old colt is the third winner this year for his sire, who finished 2020 ranked fourth on the First-Crop Sire list with 19 winners and more than $1.2 million in progeny earnings.
Outasite completed the six furlongs in 1:10.66, earning a very sold Beyer Speed Figure of 82.
The winner is owned by Rupp Racing, who paid $380,000 at the OBS March 2-year-old sale.
Outasite was bred by Vincent Colbert and hails from the immediate family as luminaries such as Ironicus, Norumbega, Quiet Harbor and Hunting, all of whom are graded stakes winners.
