A colt by More Than Ready took the top seller honors during day four of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in Australia on Jan. 11, selling for $600,000 at the countries most prestigious yearling auction.
Trainer Bryce Heys was the winning bidder on the youngster from Newhaven Park, as agent for Twin Palms Stud.
The colt is from a stakes performed Giant’s Causeway daughter of Golden Slipper S. (G1) winner Polar Success.
“Physically he was as an impressive colt as there was on the sale ground,” Heys said. “He thought he was the best colt in the sale.”
“He’s got the pedigree to back it up. He’s a generation away from a Golden Slipper winner and I bought him with a profile to graduate to that race,” he added.
