More Aspen, a 5-year-old by More Than Ready, started 2016 in grand style with a one-length win in the $150,000 Singspiel S. over the turf at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai.
“We have always really liked her,” said assistant trainer Bhupat Seemar. “She has run some really good races in defeat and has strong form at Abu Dhabi with quality horses such as Forjatt.”
Stakes-placed multiple times prior to Thursday’s breakthrough win, More Aspen is More Than Ready’s 154th lifetime black type winner. The WinStar stallion already has three black type winners this year, two of them in graded stakes.
More Aspen has spent her racing career in the Middle East; she is one of six winners out of Jade Aspen and hails from the same family as 2-year-old champion and Classic winner Timber Country.
