Daredevil added two more maiden special weight winners from his first crop on Oct. 24-25 when I Dare U and Barack Beach won their debuts at Belmont Park and Meydan Racecourse, respectively.
Daredevil, whose fee is private in 2020, has eight winners and three stakes horses to date, including multiple stakes winner Deviant and Grade 2-placed Shedaresthedevil. The former was pre-entered in the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1), to be run Nov. 1 at Santa Anita Park.
I Dare U was making her debut on Oct. 25 for R. A. Hill Stable and George Weaver. Hustled to the lead early on, she never really was threatened at any point and bested heavy favorite Mrs. S by nearly three lengths in 1:43.59 for the 1 1/16-miles (VIDEO).
I Dare U was bred by Fred Hertrich III and John Fielding and is the first foal out of Voyelle, a half-sister to multiple graded winner Olmodavor.
Barack Beach broke his maiden by a similar margin Oct. 24 at Meydan, going 1,200 meters (about six furlongs). The chestnut colt is out of the unraced Storm Cat mare Bluster, who is a daughter of nine-time stakes winner Morris Code.
