More Than Ready’s beautifully-bred 2-year-old filly Magic Dance lived up to her lofty bloodlines in her June 7 debut at Churchill Downs, rolling to a five-length victory in the five-furlong contest (VIDEO).
The winner is More Than Ready’s 14th TDN Rising Star, joining illuminaries such as Rushing Fall, Verrazano and Stopshoppingmaria, among others.
Breaking from post 5, Magic Dance tracked the pace three-wide around the turn, then swiftly passed Josie at the top of the stretch to assume command and draw off down the lane to the get five panels in a swift :57.70.
Magic Dance, a Three Chimneys Farm homebred, is a half-sister to Guarana, who was also named a TDN Rising Star following her 14 3/4-length blowout debut win for Three Chimneys April 19 at Keeneland.
Their dam Magical World is a daughter of Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) winner Pleasant Home and hails from the same family of Grade 1 winners Sky Beauty, Point of Entry and Pine Island.
