Constitution tallied the latest winner from his first crop on Nov. 2 when the filly Laura’s Light drew off to a 2 1/2-length victory in a six-furlong maiden special weight race at Gold Gate Fields.
Constitution now has 17 winners and progeny earnings of more than $1.5 million, trailing only American Pharoah on the 2019 Freshman Sire list.
Laura’s Light covered the six furlongs in 1:09.99 after stalking the pace for the first half-mile, then taking over and pulling away late for the win.
The winner was bred by Golden Pedigree LLC and is half-sister to Arlington-Washington Futurity winner Barry Lee. Laura’s Light is owned by Scott Herbertson.
