Fed Biz, the leading Third-Crop sire of stakes winners in 2020, got his latest on Aug. 31 at Presque Isle Downs when Inthemidstofbiz led virtually the entire way to win the $75,000 Satin and Lace S. by 1 1/2-lengths.
The 4-year-old filly, owned by Contreras Stable and Andrew Knapczyk, set very fast fractions, covering the half-mile in :44.54 and finished up the six furlongs on the synthetic surface in lightning-quick 1:08.82.
Inthemidstofbiz was making her stakes debut on Sunday and with the win improved her record to 5-2-1 from 12 outings, with earnings of $177,121.
The winner was bred in Kentucky by J D Stuart and Mueller Farms Inc. and is out of the stakes winner Midst, also the dam of multiple stakes-placed Katniss the Victor.
