Sheeza Milky Way’s fleet turn of foot in the Del Mar stretch carried the 2-year-old daughter of Sidney’s Candy to a widening 1 3/4-length win in a one mile maiden special weight race on Saturday afternoon (VIDEO).
Sheeza Milky Way, a $70,000 Barretts March 2-year-old in training sale grad, was bred in Kentucky by Jayne Johnson and Tom and Jeanne Flounders.
Sidney’s Candy, who also broke his maiden at 2 at Del Mar, is the sire of five winners and the stakes-placed Converge from his first crop to race. He will stand the 2016 season at WinStar Farm for $10,000 live foal.
