Half-sis to Super Saver delivers Big A

WinStar Farm’s homebred 2-year-old filly Lisa T., a half-sister to 2010 Kentucky Derby (G1) champ Super Saver, joined the winners’ ranks with a game head victory Dec. 30 at Aqueduct Racetrack. Super Saver stood his first season at WinStar in 2011, with a book of 145 mares. He will stand the 2012 season for $20,000, foal stands and nurses.

Lisa T. track the pacesetter Jiddy for a half-mile before moving to the front on her own in the turn. Kept to the task the rest of the trip, she held off a late charge by Malibu Holiday, a daughter of WinStar stallion Harlan’s Holiday, to complete the mile in 1:41.05.

WinStar bred Lisa T. in Kentucky out of the A.P. Indy mare Supercharger. She is also the dam of Brethren, winner of the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis S. at Tampa Bay Downs. Supercharger’s siblings include Girolamo, who took the Grade 1 Vosburgh H. and Grade 2 Jerome H.; multiple graded stakes winner Daydreaming; and Grade 3 winner Accelerator.

Lisa T., like Super Saver, is trained by Todd Pletcher. Her record stands at 1-1-0 from three starts.
