Good Samaritan kicks off Fasig-Tipton July sale with $100,000 colt

Good Samaritan’s first yearling to sell at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July sale in Kentucky brought a top bid of $100,000 from Gary Broad, agent for Walmac Farm.

Hip No. 3, consigned by Gainesway, agent, is a bay colt out of Casey’s Irish Pride and is a half-brother to track record-setter and Grade 3 winner Proforma. This is also the family of Grade 2 winners Just Wicked and My Miss Lilly.

Good Samaritan, a son of Harlan’s Holiday, earned over $1.3 million in his career and was a graded stakes winner on the turf (Summer S. G2) and on the main track (Jim Dandy G2 and New Orleans H. G2).

Good Samaritan, whose first crop are yearlings of 2021, stood this season for $7,500 S&N.
