Gemologist was represented by three six-figure horses during the first day of the March 15-16 OBS March Sale of Selected Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, including a colt that sold for $300,000 to L. E. B.
Julie Davis, agent consigned hip No. 171, who had breezed a session-topping :09 4/5 seconds during the Under Tack Show. The colt’s dam, Penny Marie, is a multiple stakes winner and has produced Grade 2-placed Centrique and stakes-placed Bern Legacy.
Cary Frommer, agent consigned hip No. 19, a filly that went for $150,000 to Kempton Bloodstock. The dark bay Kentucky bred’s deep female family includes the likes of Sacahuista, Geri, and Linda Linda, all Grade 1 winners.
