First Exaggerator weanling sells for $150,000 at Fasig-Tipton

Multiple Grade 1 winner Exaggerator’s first weanling to sell at auction went through the ring Nov. 4 at Fasig-Tipton, with Mahoney Eden Manor securing the filly for $150,000.

Hip No. 82, consigned by Bedouin Bloodstock, agent, is a half-sister to Corfu, winner of the Saratoga Special S. (G2) as well as the graded stakes-placed colt New York Central. The filly’s dam Fashion Cat is a half-sister to Peace Rules, who like Exaggerator, won the Haskell Inv. (G1) and placed in the Kentucky Derby (G1).

With two breeding seasons in the books, Exaggerator has bred a total of 325 mares, making him one of the most popular stallions to come on the market in the past two years. He’s standing the 2019 season at WinStar Farm for $25,000 live foal.
