Strictly Biz was very sharp in his debut victory Sept. 7 at Los Alamitos, tallying a 4 1/4-length win going five and one-half furlongs.
Trained by Brian Koriner for Jay Em Ess Stable, the $100,000 OBS Spring 2-year-old purchase was much the best on Friday. After a three-way duel early on, the chestnut pulled away at will and was all alone as he crossed the wire in 1:03.70 on a fast main track (VIDEO).
The winner was bred by Colts Neck Stables and is out of the top-class race mare Ipi Tombe (ZIM), winner of more than $1.5 million, the champion 3-year-old filly in South Africa, and winner of the Locust Grove S. (G3) at Churchill Downs.
Over the Labor Day weekend, Fed Biz also got his first black type horse when Bizwhacks placed in the $100,000 Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf S.
