F-T: $190K for Artie Schiller yearling

The lone Artie Schiller offering at the recently held Fasig-Tipton yearling sale in Lexington, Ky. caught the eye of bidders, ultimately bringing $190,000 Crupi’s New Castle Farm Inc. A leading third-crop sire, Artie Schiller has seven stakes horses in 2012, led by Arcadia S. (G2) winner Mr. Commons.

Hip No. 209 was consigned by Paramount Sales, agent for Allamuchy Farm. The Kentucky-bred bay filly is a half-sister to the Grade 1-winning filly Gaviola, who accounted for the Garden City Breeders’ Cup (G1) and four other graded stakes.
