Distorted Humor got his third TDN Rising Star Nov. 5 at Churchill Downs when Wrath of Ruthie powered to a 9 ½-length maiden special weight score in her racing debut for owner LNJ Foxwoods and trainer Steve Asmussen.
The 3-year-old filly earned a gaudy 92 Beyer Speed Figure in the six furlong contest, which went in a very rapid 1:09.50 under a hand ride from Rafael Santana (VIDEO).
Wrath of Ruthie was bred in Kentucky by Dattt Farm LLC. The winner is out of Remember, a half-sister to grade 1 stakes winner Dancing Forever and her second dam is grade 1 stakes-placed Dancinginmydreams, who is a full sister to champion Heavenly Prize. Foxwoods purchased the filly for $650,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling sale in 2013.
