Colonel John 2yo wins KEE allowance

Colonel John’s first-crop 2-year-old Here’s Johnny made the best of opening weekend at Keeneland on Oct. 10 when he won a $58,000 Allowance at the racetrack. It was the second win for Here’s Johnny, who also placed second in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile Stakes in his last start.

Here’s Johnny, an impressive maiden winner earlier this summer in his debut at Churchill Downs, was bred by Rick Sutherland and is out of the Bon Point (GB) mare Bon Caro. He was a $220,000 session topper at OBS as a yearling after being purchased by his trainer Wesley Ward.

Colonel John is Kentucky’s Leading Freshman Sire by earnings, and he already has 4 stakes horses and a Graded stakes winner this year.
