Carpe Diem’s stakes-placed filly Bella Aurora scored a three-length allowance win Saturday at Laurel Park, the second win for the 2-year-old filly. She is the second multiple winner for Carpe Diem and one of the 11 winners to date for the top-10 First-Crop sire.
Carpe Diem bred 130 mares this season and 569 through his first four seasons at stud. He’ll stand the 2020 season at WinStar for $15,000, stands and nurses.
For Bella Aurora she got a good trip from just off the pace, then after getting blocked in upper stretch, she moved inside and roared to the lead to win going away.
Bella Aurora is owned by Country Life Farm and was bred by Morgan’s Ford Farm. Bella Aurora hails from the family of Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner Cash Run and Grade 1 winner and sire Forestry.
