A $215,000 filly from the first crop of Bodemeister became one of the top-priced offerings during the first day of the Oct.19-22 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Fall Yearlings sale.
The filly, hip No. 250, was bought from Baccari Bloodstock, agent by Sid Fernando’s SF Racing. The gray or roan Kentucky-bred is a half-sister to The Factor, a multiple Grade 1 winner.
Bodemeister leads all sires represented by their first crop in 2015 with a yearling sales average of $183,721, nearly $40,000 ahead of The Factor. Bodemeister’s $850,000 filly represents the top price paid for a yearling by a first-year sire in 2015.
