Cristiano’s Dream rallied from far off the pace to score a 3 1/2-length maiden special weight win Sunday at Golden Gate Fields.
Making his debut in the 5 1/2-furlong contest for 3-year-olds, Cristiano’s Dream had some six lengths to make up with three furlongs to run, but was in full flight as he came five-wide into the stretch to fly by the field and win going away.
The winner is owned by his breeder John Parker and is a half-brother to Gold Rush Dancer, winner of the Longacres Mile (G3) and four other black type races, as well as stakes winner Dance With Effie.
Tourist, whose first crop are 3-year-olds of 2021, is the sire of 16 individual winners to date, including the stakes-placed Indy Tourist. Tourist is a Breeders’ Cup-winning son of champion sire Tiznow and is available this year for $5,000 S&N.
