Monday evening’s session of the Aug. 7-8 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearlings sale saw two More Than Ready youngsters go through the ring for an average of $350,000.
Lothenbach Stables was the winning bidder on both colts. Hip No. 54 sold first, bringing a winning bid of $400,000 for the chestnut consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent. He is the first foal out of the unraced Sea the Stars mare See Ya Signe, whose dam Santa Teresita won the Santa Maria H. (G1).
Later in the evening, Lothenbach went to $300,000 for hip No. 93, a colt offered by Baccari Bloodstock, agent. This is also a first foal out of his dam Unforgiving, a daughter of Giant’s Causeway and half-sister to the $2.1 million earner and multiple Grade 1 winner You.
More Than Ready’s sales results have been very strong throughout 2017 and include a $1.1 million colt at the Fasig-Tipton February sale and a $1 million filly at the OBS March sale.
