Bellamy Road yearling goes to $200K

A yearling filly by Bellamy Road brought $200,000 at the Fasig-Tipton yearling sale, one of the top 12 prices at the select July 10 auction in Lexington, Ky. A total of three horses by the WinStar stallion sold for an average of $116,667, over 11 times his bred-on stud fee of $10,000 and nearly six times his 2012 stud fee.

Hip No. 309 was offered by Eaton Sales, agent and purchased by Landaluce Educe Stables LLC. The filly is a half-sister to multiple stakes-placed Maegans Princesses. She comes from a top-class family that includes $1.3 million earner North East Bound, winner of six graded stakes on the turf and runner-up in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).
