The first day of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training included a $175,000 filly for Artie Schiller.
The filly, hip No. 245, was consigned by Woodside Ranch, agent, and went to Ben McElroy, agent. Out of the young Malibu Moon mare Chana’s Girl, the bay filly’s deep female family includes the likes of Matriarch S. (G1) winner Stormy Lucy, Jessamine S. (G3) winner Moonwalk, and graded stakes placed Atswhatimtalknbout.
The sire of more than 60 black type horses and 34 black type winners lifetime, Artie Schiller is standing at WinStar Farm this year for $10,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
