Artie Schiller Exacta in Brooks Fields S.

Sons of Artie Schiller formed the exacta in the $50,000 Brooks Fields Stakes on June 16th at Canterbury.

Hammers Terror won his third career stakes and first of 2013 leading start to finish, while Slip and Drive was a length back in the runner-up spot in his first outing of the year.

Four-year-old Hammers Terror broke from the outside, quickly assumed command, and never relinquished it, defeating older horses at 7-1/2 furlongs on the turf course. The win bolstered his earnings to $324,720. Slip and Drive, Grade 1 stakes-placed last year in the Shadwell Mile at Keeneland, boosted his earnings to $219,100.

Hammers Terror was bred in Kentucky by Chad Austin Reed, races for Terry Hamilton, and is trained by Michael Stidham. Slip and Drive was bred by John and Margaret Crane, races for Jer-Mar Stable, and is trained by McLean Robertson.
