Artie Schiller 2yo sharp on Saratoga lawn

The hot streak of winners continued for Artie Schiller on Sunday at Saratoga when the 2-year-old colt We Miss Artie broke his maiden on the turf to become the sixth winner in as many days for his sire.

We Miss Artie, who was second in his debut going five furlongs July 4 at Belmont Park, took to the stretchout to a mile and a sixteenth on Sunday, getting a good stalking trip before assuming command coming into the stretch, drawing clear to win by three lengths.

Bred in Ontario by Richard Lister, We Miss Artie was a $90,000 purchase by his owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey at the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling sale. The dark bay colt, trained by Todd Pletcher, has bankrolled $65,000 in his two outings.
