Analyze the Odds came from last to first in the final quarter-mile to win the $125,000 Mike Lee S. at Belmont Park on Memorial Day by three-quarters of a length over Morning Breez, who looked like a winner with a furlong to run.
The 3-year-old Overanalyze colt, who won the New York Breeders’ Futurity at two, is now 4-1-1 in 11 starts and has earned $328,706. Analyze the Odds is one of five stakes horses and 24 winners by his sire this year. The WinStar stallion is in the top five on the Second-Crop Sires list by winners, stakes horses and progeny earnings.
Racing for new owner Michael Dubb and trainer Jason Servis, Analyze the Odds broke very alertly in the seven-furlong Mike Lee, but dropped well off the pace in the first quarter-mile. Last of eight with five-sixteenths to run, the bay colt went six-wide into the stretch, then kicked into high gear to mow down the leaders with an eye-catching turn of foot.
The final time on the fast track was 1:22.58.
The first foal out of the Mineshaft mare The Sense Angel, Analyze the Odds was bred by Lansdowne Thoroughbreds.
