Artie Schiller filly sells for $250K at Kee

Artie Schiller’s yearlings at the Keeneland September sale are getting strong interest by bidders through the first week of the auction. All three of his offspring to sell have brought six figures, led by a $250,000 filly that sold on Sept. 15.

Hip No. 1395 sold to St. George Farm from the consignment of Lane’s End, agent. The Kentucky-bred bay filly is a half-sister to freshman sire Run Away and Hide, winner of the Saratoga Special (G2).

The following day, Hip No. 1588, a bay colt consigned by Indian Creek, agent, went for $110,000 to Jim and Susan Hill. The yearling is out of Tropic Rhythm, a half-sister to Belmont S. (G1) winner Sarava.

Earlier in the week, Taylor Made Sales agency consigned hip No. 857 to a sale price of $100,000 to Black Rock Stables. The colt is the first foal out of the Vindication mare Invitation, who is a half-sister to Irish highweight 2-year-old and Group 1-placed Tomahawk.
