Spring At Last sires $320,000 sale-topping filly at OBS

A flashy 2-year-old from the first crop of Spring At Last sold for $320,000 on June 20th, representing the top-priced filly at the OBS June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training.

The price broke the sale record for any juvenile in history at the June venue, but was bettered later in the session by a colt.

The Spring At Last filly, catalogued as Hip 408 and out of a Graded stakes mare/stakes producer by Rahy, sold to Justin Casse, Agent early in the second session. It marked the highest price by far for any colt or filly at the venue to that time. The Kentucky-bred had heralded her value by working the fastest quarter mile of any sale entrant, :20 4/5, on Friday, June 15th.

Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, the filly is from the freshman crop by Spring At Last, and out of Arlington-Washington Lassie (G3)-third Zahwah, a half-sister to two stakes winners and the dams of three stakes winners.

Grade 1 winner and millionaire Spring At Last – by Silver Deputy out of the top producer Winter’s Gone, by Dynaformer – stands at WinStar Farm for $7,500 live foal. His first winner recently broke his maiden first time out by 7-3/4 lengths.
