Advice retired to New Vocations

Kentucky Derby starter Advice, winner of the 2009 Lexington S. (G2), has been retired. The six-year-old gelding was purchased privately by WinStar Farm and Barry & Shari Eisaman of Eisaman Equine Services. Advice will be donated to New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program who has successfully re-homed over 4,000 retired racehorses since 1992.

New Vocations director Anna Ford expressed her pleasure in the new addition to their Thoroughbred re-homing program. “We are honored to have the opportunity to receive a horse like Advice into our program.  WinStar and Eisaman Equine should be applauded for their great effort in following this horse and ensuring that he received a proper retirement.  We look forward to having him in the program and ultimately helping him get started on his next vocation.”

WinStar President Elliott Walden spoke of his relief that Advice will retire to a good home. “A number of people were very helpful in achieving our goal of retiring Advice. Maggie Moss in particular was instrumental in getting this deal done, and we are excited about his new career at New Vocations.”
